Last week was a bit rough. The S&P 500 lost 1.63% and the Nasdaq tumbled 2.94%. It felt a bit like the magic was over.  Warren Buffett said the stock market was a weighing machine but in recent months it seemed more like a printing press. That changed last week. Insiders came out to play last week. It was not pretty, but insiders are bottom fishers, as a rule. They buy in force when prices are down when they perceive a bottom.  Regional bank insiders were all over the field scooping up prices that haven’t been seen since the Pandemic lows. Animal spirits are picking up.  This is the most buying we’ve seen since the market sell-off last December. One thing for sure, Insiders buy stocks when they think they are cheap.  Highlights are: Several insiders bought GE stock immediately prior to and immediately after Harry Markapolis’s interview on CNBC where he alleged fraud.
