Insider Buying 03-28-25 Stagflation is the Game. Confidence has been Shattered

The market as measured by the S&P 500 shed 1.53% last month. The dollar was down, gold up. There seems be a pattern here. Money is voting in real time and it’s leaving the stock market.  This looks to me like the opposite of a virtuous cycle. Instead, a vicious cycle is developing a loop of negative events that reinforce and worsen each other. I suspect as the quarter ends, there will be a steady drum beat of lowered earnings expectations.   Consumer confidence is falling at historic rates and business animal spirits are retreating with their tails between their legs. … Read more

Insider Buying Week 11-29-24 How Long Can the Honeymoon Last?

How long can the Trump stock market honeymoon go on? Of course no one knows the answer to that.  Anyone who thinks they do is self delusional at best or a charlatan at worst.  I did pick up a bit of Truist. It hasn’t ramped like the other names on this week’s list of notable insider buys with the exception of Valvoline.  I just can’t bring myself to the table on  VVV.  I was surprised to find that even EVs use oil. The market reached deeply technically oversold conditions.  Bullish divergence RSI was signaling a reversal. I would have said this reversal has room to run, but the war in Israel may reverse whatever animal spirits are forming. Give Peace a Chance looks like a nostalgic idea, with the axis of evil combined with Iran, Russia, and China financing it through the purchase of oil.  Why the U.S. doesn’t stop the transit of Iranian oil through the Hormuz straits is a mystery considering there have been dozens of provocative actions by Iran that have been stymied only by the U.S Navy coming … Read more

The Bold, the Inexplicable and the Good Soldiers- Insider Buying Week 9-17-21

For trade, details click on this link to the trades.  There were quite a few buys last week and it took me longer than usual to update it. Also, I will provide a brief recap of the conversation I had with the Chief Medical Officer, Alexander A. Zukiwski at Casi Pharmaceuticals. Casi is a U.S. NASDAQ-listed biotech selling exclusively to the increasingly affluent Chinese middle class.  CASI is a penny stock that will turn into $dollars if things pan out the way I think. They have one approved revenue-producing product with an exciting pipeline. There is a high probability they … Read more
