The market had it’s fugazi moment last week, when the world in one resounding mini crash concluded Nvidia might have limits on its unfettered growth and reign supreme. Skepticism is healthy. Someone wrote last week that the situation in the market was ripe for a crash, reminiscent of the Crash of 1987. I lived through that, so I have some personal observations. The Fed had been hiking rates into a rising market. The market had become increasingly schizophrenic, rising sharply, then falling. Unlike then, the Fed has clearly signaled that it has stopped raising rates and plans to reduce them.
