According to Wikipedia, MBIA, Inc. is a financial services company. MBIA is the largest bond insurer.  Certainly, a 12-year-old lawsuit resulting in a $600 million cash settlement from Credit Suisse cannot be a complete surprise, but you would think the market would give it more than a $15 million pop in their market cap.  I imagine it was no surprise either to the CEO as he bought 100,000 shares of $MBI  on November 18th at $6.17 but I bet he’s surprised by the tepid market response.  The real play is Puerto Rico and it’s an undercover Dem play. November is in the Record Books- The Insiders Fund up 43%

November is done and it was one for the records, S&P 500 up 10.75%.  The stock market is now up over 12.10% not including dividends. It’s not official yet but it will be pretty darn close to it.  The Insiders Fund was up an astounding 42.96% in the month of November alone, and now up over 16% for the year before fees.  The last time we saw a month up 40% was October  2001 and ended the year up over 64.73%.  Stock picking and non-diversification helped greatly.
