Insider Buying Week 11-25-22 Cronos Group up in Smoke

Learn How You Can Become an Insider Too – Click Here This is the best time of year to be invested, statistically speaking. Why that is, no one really knows for sure.  Perhaps it has something to do with animal spirits, people feeling good about themselves, others, who knows?  Animal spirits can’t be overrated.  People are more likely to bet on the future when they feel good about the present. This statistical stock market tailwind isn’t as strong in bear markets, though. The future for most people is just the day after tomorrow and doesn’t look that different than today.  … Read more

Massimo and Apple Showdown coming soon to a screen near you-other notable Insider Buys

Learn How You Can Become an Insider Too – Click Here   The reality of significantly richer returns on risk-free assets like U.S. Treasuries has taken hold of investors’ psyches. The marginal excess returns that the stock market is likely to provide over the 10 Year Treasury are still mildly attractive. Considering the historic return of the stock market is 7.5%-8%, is the 3.7% to 4.18% risk premium above yesterday’s 3.82% 10 Year Treasury Yield worth it?  For some retired investors losing sleep over the market’s gut-wrenching volatility- the answer is clearly no.  Years of financial repression are over for … Read more

Curious how well insiders are doing with their buys? Scroll through the blog posts and see for yourself September secured its reputation as the cruelest month in the market with a bone-crushing loss S&P 500 loss of 9%. It also set a 52-week low to cap off its worst month since March 2020.  We are deep into the quarterly earnings blackout, and most insiders are restricted from buying their company’s stock for two more weeks, at least until the middle of October.  All bear markets in the last 20 years have ended with a crescendo of insider buying.  As you … Read more

Insider Buying Week 8-12-22 Full on Stampede to Buy Stocks

The S&P 500  has been on a tear.  It tacked on another 3% on top of last week’s, 4% gain. There was almost nothing that went down. Last Friday it was hard to find something that was not green on your screen. Check out Finviz’s Map of the Market below. It was a full-on stampede to buy stocks. Apple is approaching its all-time high. The money on the sidelines is pouring in. Slightly better CPI prints were the trigger, but inflation is not so easily tamed. For starters, don’t expect much help from lower energy prices. I just attended Denver … Read more

Curious how well insiders are doing with their buys? Scroll through the significant buys of the last year. It was an ugly two-day close to the week that marked 4 consecutive weeks of selling.  Friday’s 900-point Dow collapse was either a capitulation of sorts or the beginning of something more ominous. There was literally nowhere to hide.  Pretty much anything sold short worked as seen in this red, red heat map of the market. The narrative was hawkish Fed talk had finally pushed the market over the edge. There is another narrative that I prefer is that no one … Read more

Insider Buying Week 4-1-22 Beaten Down Biotech Enough is Enough

Curious how well insiders are doing with their buys? Scroll the significant buys of the last year.   We are fully in the nether world of earnings blackout.  It’s difficult anytime to discern the mood of corporate America but the period thirty days prior to and one day after quarterly earnings release are deliberately void of any communication about the health of a public company’s business. It’s the blackout period. Not as sexy as a black hole but nonetheless filled with mischieve and potential danger. I’ve asked my friend Dan Taylor of Wharton Forensics Lab and Frank from SECForm4.com … Read more
