Fathers Day Insider Buying Week 06-14-24

The post took a backseat to Father’s Day last week. Looking closely, you can see me with DJI FPV goggles next to my son at Tunnel Park. In the background, the sun sets over Antelope Island in the Great Salt Lake. Considering the quarter end and recurring blackout period, there was an unusual amount of insider buying.  I will update the rest of the entries, so check back later in the week for more. Insider Buying Week 12-08-23 Energy Swooned, Some Insiders Stepped Up

As we go into the final turn of the year, expect some modest profit-taking in the Magnificent Seven. I expect some good opportunities if mortgage rates drop enough for people trapped in their homes to make a move. The purchase this week by National Storage’s Co-Chairman adds some credence to this. The stock has already rallied significantly, but storage should grow if we pick up the American tradition of musical chairs and home swapping. Fear of missing out, FOMO, is a dangerous thing.  One way to avoid that investment mistake is to pay attention to what insiders are doing. Normally they don’t chase their stocks in a FOMO moment. They are … Read more

According to the  2022 U.S. Census Bureau, more than 56 million adults ages 65 and older live in the United States, accounting for about 16.9% of the nation’s population. It’s time for them to step down off the roller coaster ride of the equity markets.  One of the cardinal rules of financial planning is that you get more risk-averse as you age. Now you can actually earn a return of … Read more

Insider Buying Week 11-11-22 Inflation is Dead- The War is Over- The Dems hold the Line

This week’s Insider Report marks the end of an experiment with a paid subscription service. From here on out the Insiders Report is free and I am relieved of my weekend chores. I’ll still continue to blog on insider buying and selling as my time permits. I’ve written numerous times that all bear markets in the last 20 years have ended with a crescendo of insider buying.  The number of insiders buying picked up dramatically last week some with household names like Boeing and CME Group.  There are finally some reasons to be hopeful that this miserable year of investing … Read more
