The Biden administration may be the savviest market timer on or off Wall Street this year.  The widely scoffed-at and criticized announcement on March 31 stated that the administration would start selling oil from the nation’s strategic petroleum reserves.  It sounded like a cheap trick to influence voters upset about high prices at the pump for the Midterm elections.
